Coconut Price in Ukraine (CIF) - 2022
The average coconut import price stood at $1,208 per ton in 2022, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 34% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,980 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($2,425 per ton), while the price for Poland ($939 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Coconut Price in Ukraine (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average coconut export price amounted to $3,501 per ton, rising by 14% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, coconut export price increased by +29.8% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 54% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $4,548 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Georgia.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Georgia amounted to +2.3% per year.
Coconut Imports in Ukraine
In 2022, the amount of coconuts imported into Ukraine reduced rapidly to 506 tons, dropping by -49.6% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, imports faced a sharp shrinkage. The smallest decline of -7.3% was in 2020.

Coconut Exports in Ukraine
In 2022, shipments abroad of coconuts decreased by -3.9% to 371 kg, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.9% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period.
