Coal Plant Electricity Generation

Coal plant electricity generation is a process that involves the production of electricity using coal as a fuel source. Coal power plants are thermal power stations that generate electricity by burning coal in a boiler to produce steam. The generator consists of a rotor and a stator. The mechanical energy from the turbine causes the rotor to spin within a magnetic field created by the stator. This spinning motion generates an electric current within the rotor windings, which is then extracted as electrical energy through an electrical circuit connected to the generator.

The generated electricity is then transmitted through power lines to homes, businesses, and industries for various uses. Coal plant electricity generation has been a major source of power for many countries around the world due to the abundance and relatively low cost of coal resources.

However, coal-fired power generation has several environmental impacts. The combustion of coal releases significant amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming.
