Bovine Animals; Live Price in Brazil (FOB) - 2023
In October 2023, the average bovine animals; live export price amounted to $813 per unit, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a mild setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 an increase of 32% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,169 per unit. From July 2023 to October 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Lebanon ($1,151 per unit), while the average price for exports to Jordan ($632 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iraq (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average bovine animals; live import price stood at $17,092 per unit in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, posted a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 284%. In value terms, bovine animals; live exports soared to $192M in 2022. In general, exports, however, faced a drastic downturn. The exports peaked at $361M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
