In July 2023, the average waxes; artificial, prepared import price amounted to $4,549 per ton, shrinking by -13.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 an increase of 33% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $5,246 per ton, and then contracted in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Denmark ($7,555 per ton), while the price for Luxembourg ($4.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average waxes; artificial, prepared export price amounted to $6,464 per ton, rising by 3.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average export price increased by 118% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $18,780 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($69,070 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($3,280 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+16.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
