Antibiotic Imports By Country
In 2016, India (X tonnes), distantly followed by Spain (X tonnes), and Italy (X tonnes) were the main importers of antibiotic, together creating X% of total imports. The following importers - Brazil (X tonnes), Thailand (X tonnes), the UK (X tonnes), Canada (X tonnes), Indonesia (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes), Australia (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), and Malaysia (X tonnes) together made up X% of total imports.
India experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. At the same time, Canada (+X%), Thailand (+X%), Spain (+X%), Indonesia (+X%), and Australia (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Canada emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2016. Italy experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, France (-X%), Brazil (-X%), Malaysia (-X%), the UK (-X%), and the Netherlands (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The Netherlands (X%) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global imports, while Canada, Thailand, and Spain saw its share reduced by -X%, -X%, and -X% from 2007 to 2016, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Italy ($X), India ($X) and France ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2016, together comprising X% of global imports.
France (+X% per year) had the highest rates of growth with regard to the antibiotic imports, among the main importing countries, over the last X years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Antibiotic Import Prices By Country
In 2016, the average import price for antibiotic amounted to $X per kg, increasing by X% against the previous year.
