In value terms, Mali ($X) remains the largest carded and combed cotton supplier in the world, making up X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by the U.S. ($X), with the share of X% of global exports. It was followed by Uganda, with the share of X%.
From 2007 to 2016, the average annual growth rate of value of carded and combed cotton exports in Mali stood at +X%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates: the U.S. (-X% per year) and Uganda (+X% per year).
Carded and Combed Cotton Export Prices By Country
The average carded and combed cotton export price stood at $X per tonne in 2016, ascending by X% against the previous year. In general, carded and combed cotton export price continues to indicate a mild descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011, when it surged by X% y-o-y. In that year, average carded and combed cotton export price reached its maximum level of $X per tonne. From 2012 to 2016, growth of average carded and combed cotton export price stood at a somewhat lower level.
