Mauritius, Mauritania, Algeria, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Morocco, Libya and Kenya lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.
Import Prices by Country
The melon import price in Africa stood at $X per tonne in 2017, jumping by X% against the previous year. Over the period from 2007 to 2017, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%.
Import prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest import price was Algeria ($X per kg), while Libya ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
