From 2007 to 2016, Poland (+8 percentage points), the U.S. (+5 percentage points), the Netherlands (+3 percentage points) and France (+2 percentage points) increased their shares in total Gabon imports of meat and poultry. By contrast, India saw its share reduces by – 5 percentage points; the share of Brazil dropped from 43% in 2007 to 18% in 2016.
Exports of Meat and Poultry from Gabon Was Negligible
Meat and poultry exports from Gabon were negligible and inconsistent. The highest level of exports was observed in 2014 with 441 tonnes, perceptibly dropped to 7 tonnes in 2016, which was equal to 30 thousand USD. Ireland was the main destination of Gabon meat and poultry exports in 2016. Other Gabon’s trading partners within the period from 2007 to 2016 were Philippines, Poland, France and Angola.
