Commercial Refrigeration Exports

In 2017, approx. X units of refrigerating and freezing equipment and heat pumps (except household type equipment) were exported worldwide; waning by -X% against the previous year. The total export volume had been increasing at an average annual rate of +X% from 2007 to 2017; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations over the period under review. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008, when it surged by X% y-o-y. Global exports peaked of X units in 2016, falling back in the following year.

In value terms, commercial refrigeration exports amounted to $X in 2017. The total export value had been increasing at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007 to 2017; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. Global exports peaked in 2017, and are expected to retain its growth in the immediate term.

Commercial Refrigeration Exports by Country

China (X units) was the largest exporting country with an export of around X units, which reached X% of total exports. France (X units) ranks second in terms of the global exports with a X% share, followed by Italy (X%), the U.S. (X%), Mexico (X%), Singapore (X%), and Germany (X%). The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X), Italy ($X), and the U.S. ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2017, with a combined X% share of global exports. These countries were followed by France, Mexico, Germany, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Spain, South Korea and Belgium, which together accounted for a further X%.

Singapore (+X% per year) experienced the highest growth rate of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries, over the last X years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Commercial Refrigeration Export Prices by Country

The average commercial refrigeration export price stood at $X per unit in 2017, jumping by X% against the previous year. In general, commercial refrigeration export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017, when the average export prices increased by X% from the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices for refrigerating and freezing equipment and heat pumps (except household type equipment) attained its maximum level of $X per unit in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2017, it failed to regain its strength.
