Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2020, and then fell in the following year.

Exports by Country

Australia (X tons) was the main destination for molasse exports from Vietnam, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, molasse exports to Australia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United States (X tons), fivefold. Malaysia (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with an X% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Australia amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (+X% per year) and Malaysia (+X% per year).

In value terms, Australia ($X), the United States ($X) and Malaysia ($X) were the largest markets for molasse exported from Vietnam worldwide, together accounting for X% of total exports.

Among the main countries of destination, Australia, with a CAGR of +X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average molasse export price amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by -X% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, molasse export price increased by +X% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of X%. Imports into Vietnam

After two years of growth, overseas purchases of molasses decreased by -X% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2020, and then dropped notably in the following year.

In value terms, molasse imports shrank to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate slight growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2020, and then declined in the following year.

Imports by Country

Indonesia (X tons), India (X tons) and Ukraine (X tons) were the main suppliers of molasse imports to Vietnam, with a combined X% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in India (with a CAGR of +X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
