From 2013 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Canada stood at +1.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Mexico (+8.6% per year) and Bahamas (+16.5% per year).

In 2019, the average wood preservation export price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2019, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, wood preservation imports contracted notably to $X in 2019. In general, imports, however, saw a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 11% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2019, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
