Germany (X tonnes), the UK (X tonnes) and the U.S. (X tonnes) were the main destinations of cow peas exports from Turkey, with a combined X% share of total exports. Pakistan, Canada, the Netherlands, Senegal, Lebanon, Denmark, France and Norway lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Senegal, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X), the UK ($X) and the U.S. ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for cow peas exported from Turkey worldwide, together accounting for X% of total exports. These countries were followed by Lebanon, Pakistan, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, Norway and Senegal, which together accounted for a further X recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average cow peas export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, picking up by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a temperate expansion from 2007 to 2020: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average export prices hit record highs at $X per tonne in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2020, export prices failed to regain the momentum.

In 2020, cow peas imports into Turkey rose notably to X tonnes, growing by X% on the year before. Over the period under review, imports showed a resilient expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tonnes in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
