In 2018, approx. X tonnes of orange juice were exported from Thailand; coming down by -X% against the previous year. In general, orange juice exports continue to indicate a perceptible deduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. In that year, orange juice exports attained their peak of X tonnes. From 2017 to 2018, the growth of orange juice exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, orange juice exports stood at $X in 2018. Overall, orange juice exports continue to indicate a drastic drop. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, orange juice exports attained their peak figure at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, exports failed to regain their momentum.

Exports by Country

Lao People's Democratic Republic (X tonnes) was the main destination for orange juice exports from Thailand, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, orange juice exports to Lao People's Democratic Republic exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, China (X tonnes), twofold. The U.S. (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Lao People's Democratic Republic totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: China (+X% per year) and the U.S. (+X% per year).

In value terms, the U.S. ($X), China ($X) and Lao People's Democratic Republic ($X) constituted the largest markets for orange juice exported from Thailand worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports.

In terms of the main countries of destination, the U.S. recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to exports, over the last eleven years, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average orange juice export price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, surging by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the orange juice export price, however, continues to indicate a drastic deduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices for orange juice reached their maximum at $X per tonne in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was the U.S. ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Lao People's Democratic Republic ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the U.S., while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Thailand

In 2018, approx. X tonnes of orange juice were imported into Thailand; going up by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, orange juice imports continue to indicate buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2009 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, orange juice imports attained their peak figure at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, orange juice imports amounted to $X in 2018. Overall, orange juice imports continue to indicate a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2009 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2018, Israel (X tonnes) constituted the largest orange juice supplier to Thailand, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, orange juice imports from Israel exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Brazil (X tonnes), threefold. The U.S. (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Israel totaled +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Brazil (+X% per year) and the U.S. (+X% per year).

In value terms, Israel ($X) constituted the largest supplier of orange juice to Thailand, comprising X% of total orange juice imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Brazil ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Pakistan, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Israel amounted to +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Brazil (+X% per year) and Pakistan (+X% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The average orange juice import price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, jumping by X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price indicated a pronounced expansion from 2007 to 2018: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when the average import price increased by X% y-o-y. The import price peaked at $X per tonne in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, import prices failed to regain their momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Pakistan ($X per tonne), while the price for Malaysia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
