Overall, exports posted a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports of reached the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Maldives (X units), the United Arab Emirates (X units) and Malaysia (X units) were the main destinations of exports of domestic electro-thermic appliances other than heaters, dryers, irons, ovens, toasters and coffee machines from Sri Lanka, together accounting for X% of total exports. Central African Republic, Jordan, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Bahrain lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Central African Republic (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for domestic electro-thermic appliances other than heaters, dryers, irons, ovens, toasters and coffee machines exported from Sri Lanka were the United Arab Emirates ($X), Maldives ($X) and Indonesia ($X), together accounting for X% of total exports.
