Dolomite Market Size in Southern Asia

In 2021, the South Asian dolomite market increased by 6% to $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a three-year declining trend. The export price in Southern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a noticeable downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the export price increased by 64% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2018 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Pakistan ($X per ton), while India totaled $X per ton.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Pakistan (-5.7%).

Imports in Southern Asia

In 2021, dolomite imports in Southern Asia surged to X tons, with an increase of 24% on the previous year's figure. Overall, imports enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 175% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, dolomite imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a strong increase.
