In general, exports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, exports of coconut, abaca, ramie and other vegetable textile fibres reduced remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, posted a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Austria (X tons) was the main destination for exports of coconut, abaca, ramie and other vegetable textile fibres from Slovenia, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of coconut, abaca, ramie and other vegetable textile fibres to Austria exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Croatia (X tons), tenfold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Austria stood at X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Croatia (X% per year) and Denmark (X% per year).
In value terms, the largest markets for coconut, abaca, ramie and other vegetable textile fibre exported from Slovenia were Austria ($X), Croatia ($X) and Denmark ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports.
Croatia, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average export price for coconut, abaca, ramie and other vegetable textile fibres stood at $X per ton in 2022, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a sharp decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Slovenia
In 2022, imports of coconut, abaca, ramie and other vegetable textile fibres into Slovenia declined to X tons, which is down by X% against the year before. Overall, imports showed a slight curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, imports of coconut, abaca, ramie and other vegetable textile fibres totaled $X in 2022.
