As a result, exports attained the peak of X tonnes. from 2012 to 2020, the growth exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cow peas exports rose remarkably to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a pronounced setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, exports reached the peak of $X. from 2012 to 2020, the growth exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Indonesia (X tonnes) was the main destination for cow peas exports from Singapore, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, cow peas exports to Indonesia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Thailand (X tonnes), twofold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Malaysia (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Indonesia amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Thailand (+X% per year) and Malaysia (-X% per year).

In value terms, Indonesia ($X) remains the key foreign market for cow peas exports from Singapore, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Thailand ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of value to Indonesia totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Thailand (+X% per year) and Malaysia (-X% per year).

In 2020, the average cow peas export price amounted to $X per tonne, increasing by X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a mild reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, export price reached the peak level of $X per tonne. from 2017 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average export prices failed to regain the momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the countries with the highest prices were the Philippines ($X per tonne) and Indonesia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($X per tonne) and Thailand ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2020, after five years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of cow peas (dry), when their volume increased by X% to X tonnes. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced setback. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tonnes in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cow peas imports surged to $X in 2020. Overall, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.
