South Africa was the main exporting country with an export of about X tons, which resulted at X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Mauritius (X tons), mixing up a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Botswana (X tons), Swaziland (X tons), Namibia (X tons) and Tanzania (X tons) - together made up X% of total exports.

South Africa experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of plastic packaging. At the same time, Botswana (X%), Namibia (X%) and Swaziland (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Botswana emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in SADC, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Tanzania (X%) and Mauritius (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
