In value terms, Namibia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported fresh or chilled salmonoids meat in SADC, comprising 54% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Tanzania ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Lesotho, with a 7.6% share.

In Namibia, fresh or chilled salmonoids meat imports expanded at an average annual rate of +50.6% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Tanzania (+19.6% per year) and Lesotho (+12.1% per year).
