These countries were followed by Paraguay, Chile, Panama, Spain, El Salvador, Ecuador and Germany, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Spain, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the fifth year in a row, Peru recorded growth in overseas purchases of coffee extracts, essences and concentrates, which increased by X% to X tonnes in 2020. Overall, imports continue to indicate resilient growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2020 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, coffee extract imports rose remarkably to $X in 2020. In general, imports showed resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In 2020, Brazil (X tonnes) constituted the largest coffee extract supplier to Peru, with a X% share of total imports. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of X% year-to-year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per tonne. From 2016 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Ecuador ($X per tonne), while the price for Brazil ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
