Refined Olive Oil Market Size in the Middle East

In 2019, the Middle Eastern refined olive oil market decreased by -X% to $X, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. The market value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007 to 2019; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, exports reached the maximum at X tonnes in 2018, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, refined olive oil exports dropped markedly to $X in 2019. In general, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% y-o-y. The level of export peaked at $X in 2018, and then declined sharply in the following year.

Turkey was the main exporter of refined olive oil in the Middle East, with the volume of exports recording X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2019. Lebanon (X tonnes) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Syrian Arab Republic (X%).
