Turkey prevails in exports structure, accounting for X tons, which was approx. 73% of total exports in 2022. Palestine (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 7.3% share, followed by the United Arab Emirates (6.1%), Israel (4.9%) and Saudi Arabia (4.5%). Iran (X tons) held a little share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to ethylene polymer bag exports from Turkey stood at +11.5%. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per ton), while Yemen ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
