Turkey (X tonnes) was the main destination for carboxylic acid exports from Ireland, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, carboxylic acid exports to Turkey exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X tonnes), threefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Japan (X tonnes), with a X% share.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2020 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In value terms, carboxylic acid imports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.
