Cyprus (X tons) was the main destination for ammonium sulphate exports from Greece, with a 43% share of total exports. Moreover, ammonium sulphate exports to Cyprus exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Albania (X tons), threefold. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Cyprus stood at +4.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Lebanon (0.0% per year) and Albania (+26.0% per year).

In 2021, ammonium sulphate imports into Greece contracted rapidly to X tons, which is down by -15.2% against the previous year. In general, total imports indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +5.3% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 57%. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Egypt totaled +31.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+49.0% per year) and Germany (+12.1% per year).

The average ammonium sulphate import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, increasing by 43% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a mild decrease. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
