Exports by Country
Togo (X tons) was the main destination for cereal exports from Ghana, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, cereal exports to Togo exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Niger (X tons), sevenfold. The United States (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Togo stood at X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Niger (X% per year) and the United States (X% per year).
In value terms, Togo ($X), the United States ($X) and Niger ($X) were the largest markets for cereal exported from Ghana worldwide, together accounting for X% of total exports.
Niger, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
