In value terms, the Netherlands ($X) emerged as the largest vapour power unit supplier in the European Union, comprising 53% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a 15% share of total exports. It was followed by Germany, with an 8.7% share.

The purchases of the five major importers of condensers for steam or other vapour power units, namely the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Greece and Belgium, represented more than two-thirds of total import. The following importers - Austria (X tons) and Spain (X tons) - each resulted at an 8% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Greece (with a CAGR of +60.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the Netherlands ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported condensers for steam or other vapour power units in the European Union, comprising 46% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by Greece, with a 9.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in the Netherlands amounted to +46.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (+47.9% per year) and Greece (+50.9% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 136% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a strong increase. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while Belgium ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
