Venezuela (X tons) was the main destination for vapour power unit exports from the United States, with a 49% share of total exports. Moreover, vapour power unit exports to Venezuela exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Egypt (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Mexico (X tons), with a 14% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Venezuela stood at +50.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Egypt (+10.2% per year) and Mexico (-1.2% per year).
In value terms, Mexico ($X), Canada ($X) and Indonesia ($X) were the largest markets for vapour power unit exported from the United States worldwide, together accounting for 67% of total exports. These countries were followed by the Philippines, Egypt, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and China, which together accounted for a further 20%.
In terms of the main countries of destination, Venezuela, with a CAGR of +11.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, vapour power unit imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 280% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Israel (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of vapour power unit to the United States, accounting for a 79% share of total imports. Moreover, vapour power unit imports from Israel exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was held by South Korea (X tons), with a 5.4% share.
