Over the period under review, evaporated and condensed milk imports hit record highs at X tonnes in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, evaporated and condensed milk imports totaled $X in 2018. Overall, evaporated and condensed milk imports continue to indicate resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2009 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

Imports by Country

The Netherlands (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes) and Saudi Arabia (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of evaporated and condensed milk imports to Egypt, together accounting for X% of total imports. Denmark, Spain, Germany, Poland, Brazil, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Singapore, while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the U.S. ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and Poland ($X) were the largest evaporated and condensed milk suppliers to Egypt, with a combined X% share of total imports.
