In general, imports continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In value terms, tap and valve imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Nigeria dominates imports structure, finishing at X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2022. The following importers - Cote d'Ivoire (X tons), Senegal (X tons) and Ghana (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.

Nigeria was also the fastest-growing in terms of the taps, cocks, valves and similar appliances imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022.
