The countries with the highest levels of wooden door imports in 2021 were Senegal (X units), Mali (X units) and Ghana (X units), together finishing at 68% of total import. Cote d'Ivoire (X units) held an 11% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Gambia (6.5%). The following importers - Guinea (X units) and Nigeria (X units) - together made up 5.9% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Cote d'Ivoire (with a CAGR of +24.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Ghana ($X), Cote d'Ivoire ($X) and Senegal ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, together comprising 60% of total imports.

Cote d'Ivoire, with a CAGR of +29.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in ECOWAS stood at $X per unit in 2021, increasing by 13% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.6%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Cote d'Ivoire ($X per unit), while Senegal ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Nigeria (+11.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
