Cabbage Market Size in ECOWAS

Mali prevails in exports structure, amounting to X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. Senegal (X tons) took a minor share of total exports.

Mali was also the fastest-growing in terms of the cabbage and other brassicas exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. Senegal (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Mali increased by X percentage points.

In value terms, Mali ($X) remains the largest cabbage supplier in ECOWAS, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Senegal ($X), with an X% share of total exports.

In 2023, cabbage imports in ECOWAS fell modestly to X tons, with a decrease of X% on the previous year. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cabbage imports dropped to $X in 2023. In general, imports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
