Poland represented the key exporting country with an export of about X units, which resulted at 51% of total exports. The Czech Republic (X units) took a 17% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Hungary (17%) and Slovakia (6.3%). Romania (X units) and Lithuania (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to loudspeaker exports from Poland stood at +44.7%. At the same time, Romania (+103.3%), Slovakia (+28.0%), the Czech Republic (+24.5%) and Lithuania (+12.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +103.3% from 2012-2021. Hungary experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Poland (+43 p.p.), the Czech Republic (+6.5 p.p.), Romania (+4.1 p.p.) and Slovakia (+3.2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Hungary saw its share reduced by -55.3% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest loudspeaker supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 44% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 22% share of total exports. It was followed by Hungary, with a 14% share.

In Poland, loudspeaker exports expanded at an average annual rate of +36.0% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the Czech Republic (+19.7% per year) and Hungary (-8.8% per year).

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, with a decrease of -32.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a abrupt contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the export price increased by 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per unit), while Romania ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

For the fifth consecutive year, Eastern Europe recorded growth in overseas purchases of single loudspeakers (in enclosure), which increased by 54% to X units in 2021. In general, imports enjoyed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 82%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, loudspeaker imports reached $X in 2021. Overall, imports enjoyed a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 35%. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

Hungary was the major importing country with an import of around X units, which accounted for 35% of total imports. Slovakia (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Poland (X units), the Czech Republic (X units) and Russia (X units). All these countries together held near 58% share of total imports. Romania (X units) took a minor share of total imports.
