Imports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, overseas purchases of mushrooms and truffles decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the seventh year in a row after four years of growth. In general, imports recorded a perceptible reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, mushroom and truffle imports contracted markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a pronounced contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Russia was the main importing country with an import of around X tons, which accounted for X% of total imports. The Czech Republic (X tons) took an X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Romania (X%), Bulgaria (X%), Slovakia (X%), Belarus (X%) and Poland (X%).
