As a result, production attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

China (X units) remains the largest electric oven and cooker producing country in Eastern Asia, accounting for X% of total volume. Moreover, electric oven and cooker production in China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest producer, Japan (X units), more than tenfold.

In China, electric oven and cooker production expanded at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2020.

In general, exports, however, saw a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports hit record highs at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker exports soared to $X in 2020. Overall, exports, however, posted a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports reached the maximum in 2020 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

Exports by Country

China prevails in electric oven and cooker exports structure, reaching X units, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2020. It was distantly followed by Hong Kong SAR (X units), mixing up an X% share of total exports. South Korea (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters exports, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007 to 2020. At the same time, South Korea (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Hong Kong SAR (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. For the third year in a row, Eastern Asia recorded growth in supplies from abroad of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters, which increased by X% to X units in 2020. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2012 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. The volume of import peaked in 2020 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.

China recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, the electric oven and cooker import price in Eastern Asia amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw strong growth.
