Exports peaked at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, exports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, synthetic yarn exports amounted to $X in 2018. Over the period under review, synthetic yarn exports continue to indicate an abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Exports peaked at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Germany (X tonnes) was the main destination for synthetic yarn exports from the Czech Republic, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, synthetic yarn exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Austria (X tonnes), twofold. Slovakia (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Germany stood at -X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Austria (-X% per year) and Slovakia (-X% per year).

In value terms, the largest markets for synthetic yarn exported from the Czech Republic were Germany ($X), Austria ($X) and Slovakia ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports. France, Italy, Switzerland and Brazil lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X experienced the highest rates of growth with regard to exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced a decline.

The average synthetic yarn export price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, increasing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, synthetic yarn imports, however, continue to indicate a drastic slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, synthetic yarn imports reached their peak figure at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, synthetic yarn imports stood at $X in 2018. Overall, synthetic yarn imports, however, continue to indicate a drastic deduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

Germany (X tonnes), Slovakia (X tonnes) and Indonesia (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of synthetic yarn imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined X% share of total imports. Austria, Turkey, China, Italy, Belgium, India and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Hungary, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of synthetic yarn to the Czech Republic, comprising X% of total synthetic yarn imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Slovakia ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Turkey, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Germany amounted to -X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (-X% per year) and Turkey (+X% per year).

In 2018, the average synthetic yarn import price amounted to $X per tonne, increasing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the synthetic yarn import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by X% against the previous year. In that year, the average import prices for yarn of synthetic or artificial staple fibers reached their peak level of $X per tonne. From 2015 to 2018, the growth in terms of the average import prices for yarn of synthetic or artificial staple fibers remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per tonne), while the price for Indonesia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India, while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
