The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, waferboard imports attained their peak figure in 2018 and are likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, waferboard imports totaled $X in 2018. In general, waferboard imports continue to indicate buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2018 and are expected to retain its growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

In 2018, Malaysia (X cubic meters) constituted the largest supplier of waferboard to China, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, waferboard imports from Malaysia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Romania (X cubic meters), twofold. Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per cubic meter), while the price for Thailand ($X per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
