Canned Mushroom Market Size in China

After two years of growth, the Chinese canned mushroom market decreased by -X% to $X in 2020. In general, consumption, however, saw a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2009 when the market value increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, total exports indicated moderate growth from 2007 to 2020: its value decreased at an average annual rate of -X% over the last thirteen years. Malaysia (X tonnes), Russia (X tonnes) and Hong Kong SAR (X tonnes) were the main destinations of canned mushroom exports from China, together accounting for X% of total exports. These countries were followed by South Korea, the Philippines, Japan, Myanmar, Viet Nam, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Chile and Jordan, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Myanmar (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for canned mushroom exported from China were Malaysia ($X), Hong Kong SAR ($X) and Viet Nam ($X), together accounting for X% of total exports. Russia, Japan, South Korea, Myanmar, the Philippines, Jordan, Canada, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Chile lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X the main countries of destination, Myanmar (+X% per year) recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average canned mushroom export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, with an increase of X% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, average export prices hit record highs in 2020 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Viet Nam ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Viet Nam, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Canned mushroom imports into China surged to X tonnes in 2020, growing by X% compared with the previous year. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.
