The shipments of the one major exporters of radio receivers, namely Kazakhstan, represented more than two-thirds of total export.
Kazakhstan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the radio receivers exports, with a CAGR of +138.9% from 2012 to 2022. While the share of Kazakhstan (+98 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) also remains the largest radio receiver supplier in Central Asia.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Kazakhstan amounted to +77.3%.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Central Asia amounted to $X per unit, declining by -96.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a dramatic decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 232% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Kazakhstan.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of radio receivers increased by 380% to X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a significant expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, radio receiver imports fell modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 177% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Uzbekistan prevails in imports structure, recording X units, which was near 83% of total imports in 2022. Kyrgyzstan (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Kazakhstan (X units). All these countries together took near 17% share of total imports.
Uzbekistan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the radio receivers imports, with a CAGR of +69.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+30.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Kazakhstan (-4.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Uzbekistan (+83 p.p.) and Kyrgyzstan (+4.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by -79.8% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.
In value terms, the largest radio receiver importing markets in Central Asia were Uzbekistan ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a combined 97% share of total imports.
Among the main importing countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +33.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2022, waning by -80.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the import price increased by 61% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2021, and then contracted significantly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (+2.6%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
