Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In value terms, room deodorants exports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, exports posted a significant increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Kazakhstan represented the largest exporter of preparations for perfuming or deodorising rooms in Central Asia, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was approx. 76% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X tons) and Kyrgyzstan (X tons), together mixing up a 23% share of total exports.

Kazakhstan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the preparations for perfuming or deodorising rooms exports, with a CAGR of +34.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+24.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Uzbekistan (-4.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +40.4% against 2014 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 31%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

Total imports indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +35.3% against 2017 indices. Uzbekistan (X tons) took a 15% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Turkmenistan (6.3%), Kyrgyzstan (5.9%), Mongolia (5.6%) and Tajikistan (5.2%).

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to room deodorants imports into Kazakhstan stood at +5.0%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+12.3%), Mongolia (+5.5%), Kyrgyzstan (+4.2%) and Tajikistan (+1.4%) displayed positive paces of growth.
