The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, non-enclosed loudspeakers exports soared to $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

China was the main exporting country with an export of around X units, which reached 58% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Vietnam (X units) and Hong Kong SAR (X units), together generating a 33% share of total exports. The following exporters - Thailand (X units) and Indonesia (X units) - each amounted to a 7.3% share of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +2.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Vietnam (+19.7%), Thailand (+14.9%) and Indonesia (+2.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +19.7% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Hong Kong SAR (-9.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Vietnam, China and Thailand increased by +17, +4 and +2.5 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest non-enclosed loudspeakers supplier in Asia, comprising 62% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with a 23% share of total exports. It was followed by Hong Kong SAR, with a 6.5% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in China stood at +5.1%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Vietnam (+17.6% per year) and Hong Kong SAR (-4.4% per year).

In 2021, the export price in Asia amounted to $X per unit, growing by 18% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the export price increased by 34%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was China ($X per unit), while Indonesia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, overseas purchases of loudspeakers (not in enclosure) were finally on the rise to reach X units after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a noticeable decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 14% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, non-enclosed loudspeakers imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

In 2021, India (X units), distantly followed by China (X units), Hong Kong SAR (X units), Japan (X units), Vietnam (X units) and South Korea (X units) were the key importers of loudspeakers (not in enclosure), together constituting 82% of total imports. Thailand (X units) held a relatively small share of total imports.
