As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, unmanufactured tobacco exports rose sharply to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Indonesia (X tons) and the Philippines (X tons) represented the major exporters of tobacco (unmanufactured) in 2022, finishing at approx. X% and X% of total exports, respectively. In 2022, Indonesia (X tons) was the key importer of tobacco (unmanufactured), mixing up X% of total imports. Vietnam (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by the Philippines (X tons). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total imports. The following importers - Singapore (X tons), Malaysia (X tons) and Myanmar (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.
