Cambodia, with a CAGR of +61.3%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in ASEAN amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 42% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a perceptible slump. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($X per ton), while Thailand ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 37%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then fell sharply in the following year.

The second position in the ranking was taken by Thailand ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by Cambodia, with a 12% share.
