The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 94%. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, parts of harvester and threshers exports rose rapidly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports posted a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by 94% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Singapore represented the major exporting country with an export of about X units, which recorded 65% of total exports. Thailand (X units) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Vietnam (X units). All these countries together held approx. 31% share of total exports. Malaysia (X units) held a relatively small share of total exports.

Singapore was also the fastest-growing in terms of the parts of harvester and threshers exports, with a CAGR of +28.3% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Vietnam (+12.9%), Thailand (+11.8%) and Malaysia (+4.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+0.6%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in ASEAN

For the tenth year in a row, ASEAN recorded growth in purchases abroad of parts of harvester and threshers, which increased by 34% to X units in 2021. Overall, imports enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 39% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, Thailand ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported parts of harvester and threshers in ASEAN, comprising 33% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Indonesia ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 14% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Thailand stood at +7.9%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Indonesia (+24.9% per year) and Vietnam (+26.0% per year).

The import price in ASEAN stood at $X per unit in 2021, reducing by -7.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the import price increased by 4.1%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per unit), while Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
