Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, multiple loudspeakers exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports saw a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 35% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Malaysia was the largest exporting country with an export of about X units, which accounted for 61% of total exports. Thailand (X units) took an 18% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Vietnam (13%) and Singapore (4.7%). Indonesia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to multiple loudspeakers exports from Malaysia stood at +9.6%. At the same time, Thailand (+104.1%), Vietnam (+43.7%), Singapore (+9.4%) and Indonesia (+5.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Thailand emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in ASEAN, with a CAGR of +104.1% from 2012-2021. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 45% against the previous year. Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($X per unit), while Malaysia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -9.4% against 2018 indices. In 2021, Thailand (X units) was the major importer of multiple loudspeakers (in enclosure), achieving 54% of total imports. Malaysia (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 12% share, followed by the Philippines (10%), Indonesia (8.6%), Vietnam (6.9%) and Singapore (6.9%).

Thailand was also the fastest-growing in terms of the multiple loudspeakers (in enclosure) imports, with a CAGR of +19.3% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, the Philippines (+12.0%) and Vietnam (+7.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. The Philippines, with a CAGR of +18.3%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the import price in ASEAN amounted to $X per unit, waning by -14.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the import price increased by 18% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
