Uruguay (X tons), Chile (X tons) and Guatemala (X kg) were the main destinations of bromides, iodides and oxids thereof exports from Argentina, together comprising 95% of total exports. The United States and Paraguay lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 4.5%.

The third position in this ranking was held by China (X tons), with a 9.9% share.

In value terms, the largest bromides, iodides and oxids thereof suppliers to Argentina were Brazil ($X), Chile ($X) and Israel ($X), together comprising 76% of total imports. These countries were followed by China, which accounted for a further 15%.
China, with a CAGR of +17.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2021, the average import price for bromides and bromide oxides, iodides and iodide oxides amounted to $X per ton, waning by -25.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 44% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
