Democratic Republic of the Congo (X tons) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Congo (X%) and Benin (X%). Libya (X tons), Guinea (X tons), Gabon (X tons), Liberia (X tons), Zambia (X tons), Sierra Leone (X tons) and Mauritania (X tons) held a minor share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Democratic Republic of the Congo (with a CAGR of X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest poultry importing markets in Africa were Ghana ($X), Angola ($X) and South Africa ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. Libya, Congo, Benin, Gabon, Guinea, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Mauritania and Zambia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Libya ($X per ton), while Democratic Republic of the Congo ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
