Wooden Kitchen Furniture Price in the United States (CIF) - 2023
The average wooden kitchen furniture import price stood at $28.8 per unit in September 2023, reducing by -5.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a slight contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 9.5% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $35.2 per unit in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($48.9 per unit), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($11.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average wooden kitchen furniture export price amounted to $112 per unit, with a decrease of -12.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, enjoyed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 140% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $129 per unit in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($330 per unit), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($18 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+19.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Wooden Kitchen Furniture Imports in the United States
For the fourth consecutive year, the United States recorded growth in overseas purchases of wooden furniture for kitchens, which increased by 73% to 81M units in 2022. In general, imports showed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 85%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, wooden kitchen furniture imports surged to $3B in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +18.8% over the last three years.
