Wood-Based Panels Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average wood-based panels export price amounted to $762 per cubic meter, picking up by 14% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.6%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 30% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($1,146 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($235 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Taiwan (Chinese) (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average wood-based panels import price stood at $533 per cubic meter in 2022, picking up by 19% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, wood-based panels import price increased by +75.3% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 31%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($819 per cubic meter), while the price for Thailand ($200 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.

Wood-Based Panels Exports in Indonesia
