Vermouth Price in Ireland (FOB) - 2023

The average vermouth export price stood at $4.2 per litre in June 2023, shrinking by -4.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2022 when the average export price increased by 35% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $5.1 per litre. From August 2022 to June 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Australia ($4.5 per litre), while the average price for exports to the UK ($3.8 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Vermouth Price in Ireland (CIF) - 2023

In June 2023, the average vermouth import price amounted to $4.5 per litre, increasing by 9.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a tangible expansion from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, vermouth import price increased by +18.2% against March 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 an increase of 54% against the previous month. The import price peaked in June 2023.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Spain ($6.7 per litre), while the price for Slovakia ($2.6 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+13.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Vermouth Exports in Ireland

In 2022, overseas shipments of vermouth decreased by 0% to 1.5M litres, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 245% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 1.8M litres. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, vermouth exports stood at $5.7M in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 261% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $7.5M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, vermouth imports amounted to $2.4M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a moderate expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 100% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $4.4M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
