Vegetable Puree Price in Hong Kong SAR (CIF) - 2023
The average vegetable puree import price stood at $4,898 per ton in June 2023, shrinking by -47.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 417% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $10,116 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($9,421 per ton), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($1,557 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Vegetable Puree Price in Hong Kong SAR (FOB) - 2023
The average vegetable puree export price stood at $8,491 per ton in June 2023, falling by -84.7% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a slight downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 896% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $55,654 per ton, and then reduced remarkably in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Macao SAR ($18,511 per ton), while the average price for exports to China stood at $8,404 per ton.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Macao SAR (+12.2%).
Vegetable Puree Imports in Hong Kong SAR
In 2022, supplies from abroad of vegetable puree decreased by -33.3% to 167 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports faced a precipitous slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 41% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 499 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, vegetable puree imports dropped sharply to $887K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a precipitous slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 28% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $2.7M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, vegetable puree exports fell sharply to $240K in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a sharp shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 3.5%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $1.5M.
